Re: Little Weldon

Hi HD,
It's a very fine layout and, of course, I'm always happy to see a Spitfire. I can understand the attraction of only using 'period features', and the irresistible temptation to make the scenery as good as it can be. I think you've achieved a great result and hope to see more photos soon.

Re: The Shankly and Gdynia Railway

Hi everyone,
Today's photos are focusing on the Gdynia end of the layout rather than the trains.

Re: The Shankly and Gdynia Railway

Thank you MG. Kind words are always appreciated. I try to keep it busy. As it's a smallish layout, I've had to crowd things in. The baseboard was made to exactly fit the wall space in the loft when it's standing on its side, so the option of a landscape with wide-open spaces simply doesn't exist for ...

Re: The Shankly and Gdynia Railway

Thank you Chops. This one is not particularly noisy but I've got two locomotives that really do make a racket. One is Princess Elizabeth. However, I was given that second-hand more than 50 years ago, so no surprises there. It actually hardly moves at all - painful to watch and listen to. Mostly I ...

Re: The Shankly and Gdynia Railway

Thank you MG. Yes, very pleasant, I think. It's hard to believe, but I bought them about 6 or 7 years ago and each four-wheel coach AND a coal wagon cost the princely sum of £11 - and they had metal wheels if my memory doesn't deceive me. How inflation has changed all that.

Four-wheel Coaches Ride ...

Re: The Shankly and Gdynia Railway

Thank you Carl L. I'm sorry about the delay in replying - I tried early in the week, but was unable to upload anything. I was caught in a loop that kept clearing my content and sending back to the beginning. Of course, I know that I wasn't the only one. My previous post was deliberately minimalist ...
