Be patient. These do occasionally come for sale secondhand. You have just missed a pair of them that sold with Elaines Trains for £12, so don't go spending silly money on them. Is a matter of patience.

I bought one but I have not tried it yet. It is a very handy piece of kit. Just look after those coils so do not have the coils energized for too long at a time. But yes. One of those tools that if one has other modellers nearby who also need their magnets strengthening, it is worth the long term ...

Not sure. They should be available. But have you considered buying a re-magnetizer instead which can be used on many makes and types of magnets? (I do not know if these are still being made, but if they are, they will be a good long term investment if they are still made).
