Proper old school modelling, it is becoming a rare skill these days. Well beyond my abilities but II can still appreciate the ingenuity and skill involved, keep sharing please 8-)

I always do what Steve suggests. Write down what I would like. Turntable, engine shed, good yard. Two continuous circuits. 5 sidings etc.
make a rough sketch, get some track and start laying it. No room for 5 sidings so just 3. Can't put the turntable there so how about there. For me it is ...

I bought one but I have not tried it yet. It is a very handy piece of kit. Just look after those coils so do not have the coils energized for too long at a time. But yes. One of those tools that if one has other modellers nearby who also need their magnets strengthening, it is worth the long term ...

In with other delights I had bought from a modeller in the past who had moved into the realm of other scales, I came across some damaged castings, and I thought "I can do something with these!"
