It's not necessarily about adding an extra line because there is space. Surely the layout should reflect the overall image you are trying to recreate?
Sometimes less is more.
Easy to say, harder to do - I crammed in a double mainline and two branchlines on my layout. :roll:

Stese is the one to answer this one, but in general terms the initial entry has been toughened up recently. If they get past that, the mods run a couple of additional checks before making a decision.
We chuck out more applicants than we let through.

Managed to get into Scarborough this afternoon after being confined to barracks yesterday and this morning.
The old model shop in the old town is still there after 42 years. The owner passed away this year but his wife is keeping it going.

Home from our hols - long but steady run home due to the eye not taking its full share of the load. But we did see this as we passed through Pickering after a quick visit to TMC.

I can still paint with one eye taking diminished responsibility for binocular vision. Just the decoder speaker and stay alive to fit.

Impossible to keep dust off a layout. Unless covers are hermetically sealed, dust will still creep in and that's before you consider any potential damage, so don't bother.
As Brian suggested, a soft, clean makeup brush is excellent for clearing dust without damage. I combine mine with a small vacuum ...
