I don't suppose you took pics of where and how in case someone fancies doing the same sometime ?
I must admit I usually prefer to see if I can find a tender fitting version of whatever loco I am trying to obtain to keep life easy !

Having had "Britannia haul us on our "posh day out" she certainly has the yellow axle boxes now:

Re: Peco Crossings - reliable or troublesome ?
All the track is already bought (apart from x-overs) and most of my rolling stock/loco's are from 2004 on, I also have a DCC concepts B2B gauge (14.5mm), so hopefully it will be OK !
Perhaps what I should have said is, are the crossings any less reliable than points ? TBH my main concern is ...

Well I bit the bullet last night and opted to try the Hornby HM6010 Accessory Decoders.
The plan being to have just these on the Hornby DCC App, Each box can be renamed , but not the individual points currently.
I plan on printing a cheat sheet so I can refer Box name and then the 3 sets of points ...
